What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Aide position at SAFY?
SAFY is seeking a Part Time Behavioral Case Aide for our Huntsville division in Alabama.
As a Behavioral Case Aide, you will beresponsible for providing skills coaching to program youth. Areas of focus are directly related to the goals of the youth’s treatment/intervention plan and may include strategic modeling, skill practice, and positive reinforcement in sessions.

What You’ll Do
- Initiate, organize, plan and develop supportive services for the youth assigned to your caseload.
- This may include but is not limited to assisting youth in enrolling in school or a vocational training program; obtaining employment; working with referring agency staff. Scheduling physical and dental visits for youth when requested.
- Ensure that youth assigned receive services and activities as required by the program.
- Responsible for helping division plan special events with foster parents and youth
- Provide skills training to program youth. This training may include role playing, teaching, debriefing, or other strategies
- Establish strong relationships using modeling & coaching of social skills. Assist the youth in developing positive relational skills with peers, adults, and community members.
- Teach skills that enable youth to solve problems and engage in everyday prosocial interactions.
- Practice new behaviors in fun and reinforcing settings.
- Orient youth toward socially acceptable activities in the community.
- Document each session timely and on appropriate forms. Keep a daily log of activities, contacts, intakes, and each interaction with the youth.
- Report all incidents, concerns, and issues to direct supervisor. Immediately report emergencies such as runaways, accidents, or medical problems.

Qualifications
- A High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience working with youth, preferred.
- Problem solving, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills (oral and written), conflict resolution.
- Valid driver license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.
What We Offer
- Targeted hiring range: $15.00 - $20.00/ hr.
- Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, location of the position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
