True Story – Storyteller (Brand Ambassador)
Job Overview:
Are you a beverage industry professional interested in working with emerging, high-quality spirit brands? Are you creative, entrepreneurial, and passionate about whiskey cocktails?
We are looking for a Part Time, incentive-based, whiskey-loving Brand Ambassador to help grow the footprint of our Finished Whiskies in the market. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as the primary in-market trade liaison, working to educate and inspire modern hospitality professionals, distributor stakeholders, and influential consumers. As the face and go-to expert of these exciting brands, you will be responsible for driving visibility and loyalty in the region.
The Ambassador will support the on and off-premise sales team to increase awareness and distribution across top opportunity accounts. They will continue to build momentum through training, account support, and special events. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the liquor industry, be knowledgeable in the brand(s) category, and have established contacts and relationships in their home market.
Rate: Part Time Contractor position as a offers base salary and incentive based pay.
Expectations:
- Cultivates and fosters valuable, long-standing relationships with bartenders, business operators, distributor reps, and target consumers
- Leverages relationships alongside brand & category expertise to drive placements, volume, and visibility in target account universe
- Regularly collaborates with Brand & Field Teams to ensure proper brand positioning & prioritization
- Record all activity and feedback adhering to monthly deadlines
- Develop creative solutions to problems, and share learnings
- Communicate effectively with local distribution partners and line manager.
Specific Duties
- Gain new points of Distribution
- Gain features and permanent cocktail menu placements at high volume and/or influential accounts
- Develop and manage local events, Pairing dinners, and industry outings
- Develop/provide cocktails recipes for menus, special events, and local media needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills (a storyteller)
· Four years of bartending and/or hospitality experience
· Knowledge of, and passion for, the whiskey category, cocktails, and the on-trade community
· Entrepreneurial, self-starting and displays a creative mindset
· Dynamic, extroverted personality with a love for meeting new people
· Familiarity of the Area landscape as it relates to key bars/restaurants and trade figures in the industry.
· Experience in event planning and activation
· Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends)
