Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Modeller to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and working with large-scale data architectures. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to design optimized data models that support analytical and operational use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Analyze business requirements to create data models that align with organizational standards.
Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure proper implementation of models.
Work with relational (SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
Document all data modeling activities and maintain data dictionaries.
Required Skills:
8 years of hands-on experience as a Data Modeller.
Expertise in ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar tools. Strong SQL knowledge (writing queries, performance tuning).
Experience with both relational and dimensional data modeling.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Info:
This is a hybrid role candidate must be able to work onsite in NYC 2 days per week.
