What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at SAGCLAY?
Duties
- Maintaining, modifying and repairing mechanical equipment to prevent or reduce production delays while working in a safe and professional manner.
- Working on their own or with others performing preventative maintenance to equipment and evaluating it for further needed repairs and returning the equipment to service in a timely and safe manner.
- Using power tools, diagnostic or hand tools or machining equipment to maintain or repair machinery to safe working condition
- Making minor or major electrical repairs to equipment while observing standard safety practices ∙Required to perform other duties as directed, assigned or requested
Skills
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of electrical or machinery repair and maintenance experience
- Must have a strong knowledge of the proper use power and hand tools with good working knowledge of the use of a lathe, milling machine, drill presses etc.
- Must have good working knowledge of electrical theory and circuits and the ability to diagnose electrical problems.
- Must have good organizational and planning skills and be able to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
