What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advancement Associate position at Sage Advancement Group?
This position reports to the Director of Advancement (DOA), is a full time 40 hour per week position and will provide administrative, development and event support to the Advancement line of business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain working knowledge of DonorPerfect management information and Advancement tracking systems.
- Work with Operations Manager to ensure that all donations are properly classified and acknowledged in accordance with department standards.
- Assist with annual giving, fundraising campaigns and special event strategies.
- Support the DOA with the planning and successful execution of IHT’s Summer Benefit Campaign tomeet goals.
- Assist with the MACDC and DHCD Community Investment Plan compliance.
- Assist DOA with securing funding and investment from the business community.
- Provide support to the Advancement team for Advancement Committee management andactivities, including note taking at each meeting.
- Work with Operations Manager to maintain monthly multi-year pledge and one-time donationreconciliation reports.
- Manage annual pledge reminders in conjunction with Operations Manager.
- Manage routine CITC communication and tracking and assist DOA with program.
- Manage annual Year-End Appeal fundraising campaign.
- Organize and assist with Summer Tours.
- Conduct outreach to applicable donors when donation discrepancies require clarification.
- Assist with tracking prospects and conducting preliminary research on donors and prospects,including via DonorSearch and GIS software.
- Assist in the creation and management of mailings.
- When required interface with potential donors, prospects and investors.
- Assist with audit compliance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BA preferred.
- 1-2 years of administrative experience.
- 1-2 years of progressive fundraising experience in annual giving and/or major gifts and/orinvestment cultivation and solicitation.
- Experience and/or interest in event planning and management.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
- Able to develop and maintain positive, honest, and productive relationships with supervisors, peers and volunteers.
- Comfortable collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to think critically.
- The ability to prioritize work and balance long-term projects with day-to-day responsibilities is key.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of, and commitment to, maintaining confidentiality ofsensitive financial information.
Skills:
- Experience with a donor CRM is not required, but preferred.
- Solid computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Excel, isrequired.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
