Your Role as Director of Clinical Services and Outreach
- Provide Clinical & Admissions Support- Supervise and oversee the clinical treatment of all students while also managing the admissions process. Work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure a seamless transition into the school environment, providing 1:1 clinical and counseling support to students as needed.
- Manage & Support Clinical Staff- Oversee the hiring, supervision, and professional development of clinical staff. Address staffing issues, ensure adherence to best practices in student treatment, and provide ongoing support and training to maintain high-quality therapeutic services.
- Manage Student Therapy & Treatment Plans- Develop, supervise, and implement individual and group therapy plans. Conduct safety assessments and ensure clinical goals are met within students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff to create effective treatment strategies.
- Oversee Admissions & Enrollment Process- Coordinate all aspects of student admissions, including referrals, interviews, and placement. Lead the Admissions Committee, maintain admissions data, and monitor contracts from sending school districts. Represent the school at fairs and recruitment events to engage potential students and families.
- Facilitate Family Communication & Support- Supervise family communication and treatment planning, providing parents with guidance on educational and behavioral expectations. Maintain consistent communication through meetings, conferences, and other outreach efforts to support student success.
- Collaborate with Staff & External Partners- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external treatment teams to ensure coordinated student care. Provide training and guidance to clinical staff and assist in program planning, development, and staff management.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensed to practice in the State of New York.
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A team-oriented mindset, capable of working within a multidisciplinary team to support students.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed academically and personally.
