Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food service operations, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all food orders are accurate and complete before serving.
- Assist servers in managing guest needs, including refilling drinks and providing additional items as requested.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay any special requests or modifications from guests.
- Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down food service areas as needed.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food handling practices.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent guest services.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items as necessary.
