What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant/Bar Server position at Sage Bistro?
We're looking for a reliable Server to perform tasks that will help our company. You will be in charge of serving food and drinks to customers, handling out receipts, taking orders and maintaining a clean dining room. As a Server you should have great customer relation skills, be professional and hard working, with a good knowledge of restaurant etiquette. You must be well organized and have a metronome sense of time. Your goal is to offer a positive experience to our Customers by serving them well, while keeping the restaurant’s standard high. Ultimately the server’s duties are to ensure that customers are served efficiently while making sure they have a positive dining experience. We are hiring for our lunch shift.
Hours 11-4
Responsibilities:
- Take and fill orders, serve food and drinks and clear tables.
- Take orders using a POS system and deliver them to customers.
- Prepare drinks and serve them to customers.
- Clean tables, chairs, floors, countertops and appliances.
- Handle customer complaints and requests (e.g. request for specific foods/drinks).
- Ensure kitchen equipment and dishes are clean, sanitized and in good condition.
- Follow health department regulations to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
- Respond to customer requests for assistance, including taking orders for additional items.
- Be responsible for handling the money safely, giving proper receipt of payment.
