Shift : Day Shift 7 am to 7 pm (1x12), Evening Shift (2 : 30 PM – 10 : 30 PM)
Job Overview
Sage Business Services is seeking an experienced Per Diem Pharmacist to join our inpatient pharmacy team. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with acute care experience , looking to contribute to a top-tier pediatric healthcare facility. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication therapy, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, dispense, and verify medications in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Provide drug therapy recommendations and ensure appropriate medication management for pediatric patients.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Monitor and adjust medication therapy based on patient response and laboratory results.
Maintain compliance with DC Board of Pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and safety protocols .
Requirements
- Education : Doctor of Pharmacy ( PharmD ) required.
- Certification : Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in Washington, DC .
- Experience : Minimum 2 years of inpatient / acute care hospital experience required.
- Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
