Urgent Need for Oncology Physician Services
The Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is urgently seeking a Board-Certified Oncology Physician to provide oncology services as part of a newly awarded Task Order.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients at the Buffalo VAMC.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and administer appropriate oncology care in accordance with established standards.
- Be available for on-call duties during off-hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call availability requires response within 15 minutes by phone and 60 minutes on-site.
- Provide timely care during normal clinic hours, which are Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
- Travel to nearby VA facilities (Batavia VAMC and Olean CBOC) as needed for patient coverage, expected at least 2 trips per month . Travel will be reimbursed at $80 per trip.
- Ensure compliance with VA clinic wait times and patient care regulations.
- Document all treatments, consultations, and procedures performed in accordance with VA policies.
- Collaborate with VA healthcare providers and staff to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.
