SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a highly qualified Food Service Director / Chef Manager (hands-on) with high end catering and large volume production experience in campus dining at a day school in Wichita, Kansas. We serve over 700 students and faculty every day on various dining programs. We produce multiple menus that are brought over to kitchens that service early childhood, lower school, and middle school age groups. We serve the high school at our main kitchen. Our menus represent a balance of trendy foods, comfort foods, local, and made from scratch offerings. The Upper school is a retail program with a breakfast concept and lunch is offered daily. We cater events from intimate simple gatherings to grand elegant events. The venues is closed for most weekends, nights and major holidays.
Our chefs and culinary teams are talented individuals who know how to prepare a great meal! Menus, written by our chefs and prepared from scratch , reflect local and regional foods, flavors and culinary styles. Our culinary teams' cooking methods, recipe development, and expertise make every dining experience truly unique. Our catering events rival five-star restaurants.
You would lead a tenured team of 6 hourly team members and have a salaried AFSD / Chef. You have an opportunity to provide high end catering and fun student experiences. You must be creative, hospitality minded, self-motivated, and be a self-educator. We are looking for an individual who will be confident in community engagement and continue our long standing relationship with our clients and this community.
