What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Manager position at Sage Garden Cafe?
About Sage: Sage Garden Cafe is a 14-year restaurant success story. The cafe is 100% woman-owned with a fresh approach to food, combining homegrown with housemade on a menu that features regional favorites that are made from scratch daily. We use vegetables & herbs from our on-site organic gardens and greenhouses, along with seasonal harvests from local farmers, with a focus on healthier food that tastes great too. We’re probably best known for our specialty soups, salads and sandwiches, made on artisan breads baked daily in our own kitchen.
Located on the grounds of Wilson Nurseries & Plant Co., the cafe is closely connected physically and also internally to this 43 year-old, very progressive nursery. The cafe is actually in the footprint of Wilson’s original garden center, where the building’s horticultural bones inspire the natural environment of our cafe; an atmosphere reflective of the love of plants and gardening. Plants & flowers from our greenhouses reinforce the heritage of the space. While our focus is on lunch, we do serve brunch on Saturday & Sunday morning and do regular, curated events such as weddings, showers, and gatherings on-site.
