Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a Long Term Care setting.
Currently accepting travel candidate who reside 50 miles outside of the facility location.
Position Details:

Pay Rate: Range $1512 Weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: LTC
Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 7.00p - 7.30a
Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, Mon-Fri, Every other weekend
Position Requirements:
- Current LPN experience: 3 years - Required
- Recent LTC experience - Required
- Cerner EMR experience - Required
- Prior travel or contract experience - Preferred
- COVID Vaccinations and Flu Vaccinations - Required prior to start
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this ned
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- LPN License for State of VT or Compact - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA - Required
Job Description:
- Coordinates and provides of nursing care for patients in LTC setting under RN's delegation.
- Participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the LTC Setting
- Must demonstrate clinical competence by utilizing the nursing process
- Must assess and identify patient problems/needs
- Nurse will provide all aspects of nursing care that fall within their skillset and scope of practice.
- Responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating patients

Duties
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) management and patient education.
- Support surgical teams in the Operating Room (OR) as needed.
- Administer intravenous (IV) insertion and medication as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
- Participate in hospital medicine activities, ensuring comprehensive patient assessments.
- Conduct laboratory tests and assist with specimen collection as required.
- Engage in educational activities within a teaching hospital environment, promoting family planning and health education.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices.
- Experience or familiarity with DME processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment is advantageous.
- Background in hospital medicine or laboratory procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
