Description
The Camp Sage Camp Counselor will be responsible for planning and leading activities for campers during specified times throughout the program. The Camp Counselor will ensure the campers' well-being and make their camp experience as fun and rewarding as possible.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provide overall supervision and general safety of campers

Must follow all COVID-19 protocols and procedures

Ensure that all campers are meeting COVID-19 safety protocols and procedures

Provide introduction and and assist with daily Town Meeting
-
Manage transitions from morning camp to lunch, and lunch to afternoon camp to ensure timely arrival of your entire group

Activity planning and supervision during campers drop off, pick up, and lunch/free time, which may include pool activities

Ensure campers are engaged and enjoying their camp experience

Serve as leader and role model for youth

Know where campers are at all times

Assist teachers/coaches with all camp activities when necessary

Complete mandatory training as needed and must abide by all break and meal period policies

All other duties as assigned by Co-Directors of Summer Programs
Qualifications

Prior camp counselor experience is a preferred

Good communication and leadership skills
-
Ability to work with middle school aged youth

Lifeguard certification preferred
