Sage International School – Boise - a public charter school - is seeking applicants to fill a FULL TIME Secondary IB Language and Literature (ELA) Teacher position for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Description:
Successful candidates will be certified to teach in public schools, either in Idaho or in another state with a willingness to transfer certification to Idaho OR be qualified to be certified under Idaho’s charter school law. The most successful candidates will:
Qualifications:
- Prior experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate school is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrate skill at developing and teaching a curriculum that will engage and challenge students in the area of Language and Literature (ELA). Additionally, the candidate should be able to work with colleagues to co-construct interdisciplinary units.
- Possess a demonstrated ability to engage students with challenging learning that results in their readiness for the next grade level.
- Be knowledgeable and fluent in all aspects of their content area (reading, writing, listening, speaking, and cultural considerations).
- Demonstrate the IB Learner Profile attributes of Knowledgeable, Balanced, Thinker, Reflective, Communicator, Risk-Taker, Inquirer, Caring, Principled and Open-Minded.
- Have a genuine love of working with children and an enduring interest in teaching, learning and student engagement.
- Be positive, adaptable, and flexible, with good communication and collaboration skills. This position will require close coordination and collaboration with the secondary ELA teachers.
- Be familiar with and a believer in inquiry-based and project-based authentic learning.
- Be comfortable with integrating instructional technology into lessons when applicable.
- Be able and willing to work hard in a highly demanding program and to see differences and challenges as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
