Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY : The special education teacher provides instruction at the elementary, middle, high school and / or adult transition level to students who require remedial and specialized assistance in pre-academic, academic, social emotional, behavioral, adaptive behavior, daily living, pre-vocational, college and career skill areas; and plans, develops, organizes and implements comprehensive individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with a variety of disabilities. School staff will rely on the special education teacher to provide consultation and educational services within the area of special education.
