We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in operations management, particularly in warehousing, freight, and logistics. They will be responsible for overseeing the overall planning, organizing, and operations of the distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the distribution center's overall planning, organizing, and operations.
- Oversee all distribution functions, including facilities and maintenance, safety, order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns, and receiving.
- Balance workloads to achieve productivity and delivery goals.
- Utilize software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track productivity metrics, anticipate, and resolve problems.
- Monitor the flow of work throughout the distribution center and investigate unusual delays or problem areas.
- Cease communication between departments, distribution centers, and customers.
Requirements/Requested Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management required.
- Seven to ten years' operations management experience in the areas of warehousing, freight, and logistics (domestic and international) is required.
- Managerial experience within a multi-unit environment is a plus.
- Solid leadership ability with the capacity to problem solve through unexpected situations, goal-oriented, and solution-focused.
