Summary : As a Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Purchasing Department by executing daily sourcing operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our strategic goals. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications we seek.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Identify and source new supply chains for aftermarket industrial and automotive parts, focusing on mobile equipment. Document the sourcing process, including targets and goals.
- Act as a key liaison for day-to-day global sourcing operations, assisting in supplier and product selection to optimize costs for the business.
- Oversee the qualification of replacement products that ensure cost savings while meeting quality standards comparable to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products.
- Streamline the vendor base by maximizing the use of top-tier suppliers and proactively seek alternative supply lines to maintain and improve business cost efficiency.
- Achieve and document measurable cost savings through effective sourcing strategies, including matching OEM components with alternative supply chains and negotiating prices.
- Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships while maintaining high customer service standards, especially in complex situations.
- This position may require limited travel.
