Supervise the daily operations of the Guest Services personnel to promote a safe environment and quality services for maximum guest satisfaction and financial success.ResponsibilitiesGreets and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests.Facilitates guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures to close guest accounts.Ensures the front desk team regularly calculates and posts guest accounts using proper cash handling methods.Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, using suggestive selling techniques.Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions.Operates the PBX equipment by accepting incoming calls and assisting outgoing calls.Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain responsibility for personal bank.Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Assist the Assistant General Manager in conducting performance evaluations and discipline as appropriate.Coordinate guest service efforts for group arrivals and departures.Supervise activities with valet service, taxi services, and the Airport Connection.Provide information and assist staff in recommending area restaurants and activities.Greet guests and offer assistance with check-in / check-out, deliver laundry, and store luggage.Order supplies and maintain inventory control.Follow up on guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.Implement emergency training to ensure guest safety.Provide weekly schedule for Front Office Associates.Ensure proper communication to subordinates on hotel activities.Ensure all new hires are aware of all hotel aspects.Ensure all associates are trained on Fosse and other systems.Provide motivation to the department.Ensure all Front Office Associate duties are completed daily.Provide assistance to other employees and departments.Ensure the front desk is represented at Safety Committee Meetings.Participate in the Hotel MOD program.QualificationsEducation / Formal TrainingHigh School diploma or equivalent.ExperienceMinimum two years previous experience as a front desk supervisor or a minimum of four years front office experience in hotel work.#J-18808-Ljbffr
