What are the responsibilities and job description for the Settlement Closer position at Sage Title?
The settlement closer is responsible for facilitating the closing process on real estate transactions. This includes reviewing
Title commitment, clearing title, preparing final closing documents as well as coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders and other parties involved in the transaction. The settlement closer must also be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, be highly organized and have excellent communication skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Review documents provided to clear title (20%)
- Respond in a timely and professional manner with customers and sales agents (10%)
- Conduct closing (20%)
- Disbursement of funds (20%)
- Record documentation with County (20%)
- Address post-closing escrows (10%)

Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college preferred.
Experience:
- Must have 3 years’ experience in Title Insurance preferably 2 years as a settlement closer
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of real estate closing process.
- Previous experience in accounting or real estate settlements desired.
- The ability to collaborate with lenders to prepare final closing disclosure.
