**Job Summary:**
As an Overnight Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to clients during nighttime hours. Your primary role will involve assisting clients with their nighttime routines, monitoring their well-being, and ensuring their safety while they sleep. This position requires a compassionate individual with a strong commitment to helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide personalized care to clients during overnight hours, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or family member.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages and timings.
- Assist clients with mobility, including transferring safely from bed to chair or wheelchair.
- Ensure the client's living environment is safe and clean, performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of care and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Communicate regularly with family members and the care team to provide updates on the client's status.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent needs during the overnight shift.
- Foster a supportive and respectful relationship with clients, promoting their dignity and independence.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in home health aide or nursing assistant is preferred.
- Previous caregiving experience, particularly with elderly or disabled individuals, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check and any applicable licensing requirements.
