What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at Sage?
Job Description
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team at a very exciting time. The team itself focuses on generating new business opportunities by finding potential clients to prospect for and qualify into new business accounts. You’ll learn how to identify and research lists of companies to target, and how to develop email and telephone campaigns to generate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll speak to potential new customers across the e-commerce sector who are interested in finding out more regarding our Brightpearl or Inventory Planner product. These leads will come to you from a varied number of channels, and it will be up to you to qualify the leads. You’ll spend time getting to know their business, their challenges, goals and ambitions to gain an understanding of how our products can help them achieve these goals. You’ll work closely with an account executive to secure a consultation between them and the client, making recommendations and ensuring clear communication at every point. As well as this, you may find yourself working on some outbound prospecting to find additional customers in the market who would benefit from the products we offer.
What’s in it for you?
As well as some amazing Sage benefits and uncapped commission, you’ll be part of a close-knit team who share knowledge, expertise and encourage progression. Once you’re comfortable in your day-to-day role of an SDR, you may gain the opportunity to move into a hybrid type position where you’ll gain exposure to responsibilities of an Account Executive, developing your skills further to help your career flourish even higher. You’ll also be working cross functionally across a huge organization, providing you with skills and opportunities to get involved in exciting projects and networks.
