What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Fellow Performance Analytics position at SAGES?
Description
The Intraoperative Performance Analytics Laboratory (IPAL) is looking to hire a second research fellow for the 2025-26 academic year (possibility to extend to a second year). The lab performs exciting and novel research in the field of AI and multimodal data acquisition during surgical procedures (computer vision and kinematic) as well as robotic surgical simulation at the largest Healthcare institution in NYS (Northwell). This is an in-person job opening located at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Our research partners include Intuitive Surgical, Columbia University Engineering, Nvidia and Google. The ideal candidate would be an MD with some clinical experience (including foreign experience) looking to take some time off during clinical training to enrich his knowledge around technologies which will reshape our profession over the next decade. Statistical knowledge (R or SPSS) and / or experience with python preferred.
