Description
The Division of Upper Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Southern California is currently offering a paid, one-year Research Fellowship position for the 2025-2026 academic year to current PGY2 or PGY3 general surgery residents. The Research Fellow will work alongside nine Upper GI / MIS faculty surgeons and carry out clinical outcomes research including randomized trials and cohort studies on topics including benign and malignant foregut surgery, bariatrics, and abdominal wall reconstruction / hernia. Abstract submissions with subsequent poster and / or podium presentations at local and national meetings is expected with full departmental financial support. Workspace will be provided at Keck Hospital of USC. Moonlighting will be permitted.
