What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Replacement Plumber - East Coast position at SageWater?
- TRAVELING POSITION*
Are you an entry level plumber or an experienced plumber looking to make more money and move up in your career? SageWater plumbers must be willing to take direction from crew leads and work in a collaborative, team-based environment in order to meet our fast-paced schedules. Our repipe projects are "production" work with very little downtime. One crew will often remove and replace all the pipe in a single apartment in less than one day. Plumbers must work quickly to perform all the pipe replacement work so the drywall crews can follow behind them to complete the wall repairs.
CORE DUTIES
- Professional presentation and conduct at all times while working in client homes
- Effective communications of project progress across to team members, leaders, and clients
- Maintain and uphold company quality and safety standards at all times
- Daily installation and removal of dust and debris mitigation system
- Fast-paced removal and replacement of existing pipe, including, domestic supply, drain waste & vent, as well as hydronic
- Be willing to travel!! (Great opportunity to visit and explore new cities while you work)
- Be over 18 and able to work legally in the U.S.A
- Have a strong work ethic, integrity, and sense of personal accountability
- Be able to work independently as well as in a dynamic team environment
- Possess strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Present yourself with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Have a willingness to work hard all day, every day
- Possess a clean background
- Submit and pass a pre-employment drug test
- Possess necessary hand tools required for the role
- Be able to reliably get to and from the job site daily
- Have experience working in occupied residential communities (apartments and condominiums)
- Be able to take direction from their crew lead and project manager
- Experienced in most/all types of pipe fitting (CPVC, Pex, Copper, cast iron is a plus).
- Familiar with different types of soldering and fitting larger diameter piping.
- Considerable knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of the plumbing trade
- A plumbing license is a plus
- Strong finger and manual dexterity for handling pipes and plumbing fixtures
- Detail-oriented
- Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
- Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Possess a reliable form of transportation
- Willingness to travel
- Hourly pay with no-cap incentives
