PART-TIME K-8 MUSIC TEACHER (Shared-Time Program)
2024-2025 School Year
SUMMARY OF POSITION : A caring, certified elementary school teacher, with knowledge of, and experience in, teaching music, using the holistic approach to learning. The teacher shall understand and be able to apply principles of cooperative learning and have an understanding of the Michigan Standards of Quality.
REPORTS TO : Shared Time School Principal
COMPENSATION : As per Carrollton Public Schools Shared Time School salary schedule
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have an in depth understanding of elementary school students
- Must be certified by the State of Michigan as an elementary teacher with music endorsement
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must have experience working with at risk students and their parents.
- Must receive a satisfactory response to P.A. 189 Letter. (Misconduct Law)
Must satisfactorily pass : Law enforcement background check with fingerprinting
