Position Summary:
- Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager for Sponsorship and Promotions, assist in the daily operations of the Marketing Department in the areas of Entertainment, Access Club, Public Relations, Sponsorships, and Promotions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the Marketing Department to ensure customer loyalty and increase the level of casino play.
- Assist in communicating logistical event information to appropriate casino and hotel units.
- Meet and communicate with the Marketing Manager for Sponsorships & Promotions as well as the Director of Marketing & Entertainment to create targeted promotions and ensure departments are prepared for the event.
- Complete all event detail, successfully coordinating and implementing sponsorships and promotions.
- Promote and participate in an interdepartmental team approach for the delivery of promotions and sponsorships, remaining available to all units in the Marketing Department to achieve sponsorship objectives.
- Work closely with all necessary internal departments to execute programs and provide new and organic opportunities to increase revenue.
- Utilize computer software such as Super Playmate, Atrient, and Bravo to set up, track and run promotions successfully.
- Execute sponsorship programs that drive traffic and revenue to our property with measurable results.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
- Contact with all levels for personnel companywide to prepare and execute daily/monthly promotions and sponsorships.
- Maintains contact with all Marketing staff to ensure all daily and monthly promotions and sponsorships are executed professionally and in accordance with gaming regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- One year of experience in Guest services related position.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people skills required.
- Schedule will be evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Business, Public Relations, or related field.
- One (1) year Guest Relations experience.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Must have a valid State of Michigan Drivers License
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the hotel and gaming division, its governing structure, and documents.
- Knowledge of tribal, federal, and state accounting, purchasing, and auditing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of gaming operational policies, procedures, and regulations as they relate to promotional events.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer service-oriented
- Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Skill in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational letters and financial reports.
- Ability to effectively use a microphone to speak in front of large groups of people.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and deal effectively with the public.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer operation.
- Frequent walking throughout casino and resort.
- Required to sit, stand and walk.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino, and constant machine and crowd noise.
- Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions including extreme hot/cold and to lift, carry, push, or pull a variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Exposure to loud environments.
- Will be required to work various hours as needed for event coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
- Travel is required.
