General Definition of Work:
Delivers meals to home-bound older adults who are unable to prepare a well-balanced meal. Performs manual work
packing, loading, and delivering hot and cold meals.
Essential Functions:
- Performs manual work packing, loading, and delivering hot and frozen meals prepared in the Commission on
- Delivers meals and other items in delivery van by following specified route. Deliveries may be to Senior Centers
- Unloads food at centers, transfers hot food pans to steam tables and cold foods to refrigerator.
- Returns equipment to central kitchen.
- Routinely performs safety inspection, checks oil and other fluid levels, and obtains service as scheduled or
- Assists in stocking and cleaning central kitchen, including dishwashing and custodial duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid/current State of Michigan driver's license.
- Acceptable driving record per County policy.
