Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice at Saginaw Dental Excellence. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for various treatments.
- Perform medical documentation accurately, including patient records and treatment plans.
- Utilize Dentrix Ascend software for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Conduct medical imaging as required, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support pediatric dentistry by working with children to create a positive dental experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices is beneficial.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, enhancing our ability to provide specialized care.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is advantageous for effective patient diagnostics.
- Knowledge of systems related to dental practice management will be an asset.
