Responsibilities
- Assist the bus driver in the safe boarding and disembarking of students.
- Monitor student behavior to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding transportation-related concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
- Report any incidents or issues to the bus driver and transportation supervisor.
- Assist in emergency situations, following established safety protocols.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by transportation management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Patience and a positive attitude when interacting with students.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including mornings and afternoons.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
