JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Art at Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for a renewable, non-tenure-track Lecturer position starting August 2025. Teaching responsibilities (24 credit hours/year) will include introductory courses in Art Appreciation and Art History/Interpretation, and are primarily in-person, on-campus. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence at the first-and-second year undergraduate level, an ability to work with diverse student populations, and a willingness to engage in departmental and University service including recruitment and retention initiatives and mentoring Art students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Arts in Art History or closely related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Relevant teaching experience at the university level.
- Ability to teach other introductory courses within the discipline.
