Role Overview:

Sagitec is seeking a talented General Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to manage a wide variety of tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure that all communications are polished and effective. You will be responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies that enhance our brand, engage our audience, and drive our mission forward. There’s lots to learn, so you should be curious as a cat — even if you're a dog person. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a natural collaborator and multi-tasker, eager to roll up your sleeves and contribute across a myriad of projects and programs. This role reports into the Marketing Manager.

The Purpose of Your Role
You will take an active role in developing and publishing content and communications based on our strategy. This requires you to work collaboratively with multiple business units and subject matter experts to create sought-after content that adds value to Sagitec’s audiences (employees, future employees, customers, prospects, partners, and iinfluencer). You will also work closely with the coordinated communications group that involves stakeholders from Marketing, Internal Comms, Learning and Development, and HR to ensure our communications to different audiences remain consistent.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Interview SMEs to create content.
  • Execute comprehensive communication plans.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders to execute content communications plans for individual lines of business, ensuring that activities line up with the overall communications strategy strategy.
  • Craft high-quality content for different platforms including intranet, websites, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Work with the design team to provide inputs on how a piece of content may look visually.
  • Do competitive market research and analysis to better understand core clients.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You are a passionate communicator with 3-5 years’ experience gained in a marketing, public relations or communications role.
  • Post-secondary education, preferably with a focus on communication or writing.
  • You possess in-depth interviewing skills that can be leveraged to create content.
  • Monitor and report on communication campaign performance metrics.
  • You can dissect data and present strategies to improve on them.
  • You work well with a deadline and can manage a wide variety of tasks.
  • You’re extremely organized and detail-oriented and ensure your copy shines before it’s published.
  • Effective knowledge of digital and traditional marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Good understanding of technology and IT services for B2B audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various communication needs.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and lead projects independently, if required.
  • Assist with any event planning, conference messaging, and other marketing and communications tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.

Bonus Points For:

  • Understanding of best practices for social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, & Facebook).
  • Familiarity with using AI prompts in tools like ChatGPT/CoPilot.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Management, Math, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
