Job description
Saguaro Solar Electric is seeking a Solar Technician to join our team and help us provide quality solar energy solutions to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing solar energy systems. This includes conducting inspections of newly installed or upgraded systems, providing maintenance and repair services, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems and solar energy technology, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Test, trouble shoot, and diagnose solar system for proper operation.
- Correct any noted issues or concerns on-site when possible.
- Make necessary repairs and/or corrections to panel installations.
- Provide customer service and technical support to customers.
- Maintain organized records and update electronic system with detailed notes.
- Comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience performing solar pv installations with service experience. 3 years preferred.
- Ability to read plans and blueprints.
- Must be able to use proper tools and equipment safely.
- Must be able to perform electrical wiring and other tasks related to solar panel installation.
- Previous field construction experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
- Ability to manage time and organize and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of local jurisdictional and/or national code requirements is preferred.
- Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Must be motivated, low maintenance and a self-starter.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass driving, background, and drug screenings.

Education:
