JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for assisting the Hotel Operations and Sales in the execution of hotel reservations which includes, but not limited to, the creation and maintenance of wholesale accounts and reservations, group blocks, rooming lists and other reservation processes. Responds to all incoming emails and inquiries from guests/employees to reserve reservations and to assist in all related convention group processes (i.e. pre-registration, pre-keying, satellite check-in, etc., while maintaining the core experience guidelines at SLS Las Vegas)
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Ensures all rooming list received are inserted into the PMS in a timely manner
- Manages all group block revisions and/or cancellations
- Proactively manages tentative groups and works with the Sales team on confirmation and/or cancellations
- Ensures inventory is released for non-guaranteed groups/blocks and communicates to the Revenue Management team as applicable
- Assists group guests with reserving hotel accommodations, and other property amenities such as dining and spa when the business demands
- Assists in monitoring and balancing the hotel room inventory on a weekly basis
- Communicates to the Front Desk weekly group arrivals and ensures proper payment and routing instructions are correct and commented accordingly to facilitate the check-in process
- Monitors the Lux and Reservations Inboxes daily and responds to in a timely manner for executive, nightlife, and external reservation inquiries. Including Travel Agent requests
- Manages the Specialty Desk Inbox and ensures that wholesale and OTA reservations are input correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensures all Day of arrivals have proper routing instructions, and collects or refunds reservation deposits as necessary
- Works closely with the on-property Delphi and Passkey administrator
- Will assist in the managing of non-convention space and rooms only groups
- May be asked to attend various meetings with Sales and/or pre-con meetings
- Will assist in total group process from reservations to departure and final billing.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal scheduled hours.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year experience in a Hotel and/or Hospitality environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms
A professional demeanor and attire is to be maintained at all times
Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to working independently with little to no supervision
Must be able to perform in a team environment
Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
Must have exceptional time management skills
An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Opera, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
Proven ability to resolve guest conflicts with ease or determine if management is needed in certain guest situations
Must be 18 years of age or older
