JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
Knows and executes the service guidelines outlined in the manual with extreme attention to detail.
Promotes the company’s high level of service standards by exhibiting friendliness and a hospitable attitude. Displays full knowledge of the restaurant, McClain Camarota Hospitality Group and its history, and current/upcoming/past menus.
Greets guests promptly as they enter the restaurant, making a positive first impression. Greets guests warmly and sincerely with an honest smile, making eye contact. Always uses positive body language and speaks in full sentences, avoiding slang.
Uses the guest’s preferred name at least twice throughout interaction. Knows and acknowledges all VIPs by name, and alerts management immediately upon their arrival.
Anticipates guests’ needs. Remember, we always “find the yes” when a guest asks a question.
Answers phones, keeps accurate count of reservations, and handles reservation book.
Keeps an accurate count of guests, providing the kitchen and management with a form indicating how many guests have arrived, will arrive, have cancelled, no-showed, and have yet to order.
Has complete knowledge of the floor plan, current FOH staff on-shift, seat numbers, table numbers and stations.
Frequently checks back with guests who are waiting in the bar area to be seated. Makes it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them. This must constantly be communicated to management.
Assists Server by answering any questions guests may have regarding the restaurant.
Monitors which tables are in use, available, and about to turnover. Monitors and records meal status. Is immediately aware when tables are reset and ready for guests.
Checks for completeness of table settings. • Notifies management when tables are overdue.
Communicates the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management. Informs management of guests’ reactions and comments.
Helps promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests. Cleanliness of the restaurant is the responsibility of every employee regardless of position or department. Ensures health code compliance.
Maintains a neat and orderly host area, being sensitive to the guest line of sight. Constantly ensures that the entrance to the restaurant is perfectly clean and inviting.
Performs assigned side duties.
Collects and stores menus. Maintains the cleanliness and presentation of the menus. Ensures that all menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent changes. Replaces all menus in poor condition after making sure that replacements are available.
When a guest is leaving, always graciously thanks them, makes eye contact, and uses their preferred name. Mentions their special occasions, even upon departure. Invites all guests back, all while maintaining positive and professional posture.
Assists management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service.
Operates as a member of a team, helping others and requesting help as needed. Performs other restaurant duties as requested by management.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Prefer one to three (1-3) years of experience in a high-volume Fine Dining restaurant
- Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond
Must be willing to help out all fellow team members
Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude
Exceptional communication skills and articulation
- Must be able to multitask and take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
