Job Description
The IT Compliance Analyst role will report to the Director of IT and is responsible for completing day-to-day functions related to SAHARA Las Vegas, Meruelo Gaming, and SaharaBets regulatory compliance obligations and initiatives. This position will also assist in implementing, managing, and monitoring compliance with relevant policies and internal controls to ensure adherence to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Job Focus
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
This position is designated as a “Key” IT position. All Key IT Team Members will be required to participate in IT “All Hands” events, such as cyber-attacks or other operational events as directed by SLV Management. These may be scheduled or unscheduled events and participation is mandatory. Key IT Members must return from PTO or any other absences as directed by policy. All Key IT Members agree to maintain monitored mobile telephony communications to receive notifications of emergency All Hands event directives 24/7/365.

Job Description
The IT Compliance Analyst role will report to the Director of IT and is responsible for completing day-to-day functions related to SAHARA Las Vegas, Meruelo Gaming, and SaharaBets regulatory compliance obligations and initiatives. This position will also assist in implementing, managing, and monitoring compliance with relevant policies and internal controls to ensure adherence to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Job Focus
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Support the Compliance Officer in day-to-day compliance efforts from an IT perspective.
- Act as a resource for IT operations in interpreting and monitoring compliance with provisions of the system of Internal Controls for each entity.
- Prepare reporting and other materials required for the function of the property Compliance Committee and other entities as needed.
- Work with leadership from multiple departments to ensure operational compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation of, guide for, and monitor compliance of all GCB, ADOG, PCI, and other regulatory agencies as needed.
- Assist Compliance Officer with oversight of Government Affairs engagement and inquiries to ensure compliance with requirements related to lobbyists and government officials as related to IT.
- Monitor and help ensure compliance with Nevada Live Entertainment Tax requirements as related to IT systems, policies, and applications.
- Support the Compliance Officer in compliance investigations related to IT.
- Prepare documentation related to the due diligence program to review third parties with whom the property does business as related to IT.
- Monitor and track delivery, completion, and efficacy of compliance-related training.
- Assist with the implementation of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance training.
- Responsible for IT compliance support on various business application solutions, policies, and processes.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with casino, hotel, and POI/POS compliance systems including peripheral hardware, applications, and subsystems as they pertain to IT compliance.
- Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and user processes.
- Oversee and monitor compliance with records retention policies.
- Oversee and monitor system access profiles to ensure IT compliance with regulatory requirements and appropriate controls.
- Write, audit, and maintain a series of policies and processes related to the governance of all IT compliance-related systems, applications, and procedures.
- Assist with IT security as related to physical, virtual, and cyber security.
- Bachelor's Degrees in Business, Finance, IT Compliance, or similar compliance-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must exemplify the highest standards of ethical business conduct and integrity, including creating and sustaining a work environment in which employees, consultants, and contract workers know that ethical, moral, and legal behavior is expected.
- Work is performed in an office setting.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with business stakeholders and other team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to understand questions and instructions from leadership.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from users and regulatory agencies.
- Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and user procedures.
- Knowledge of trends in technology relating to IT applications and security.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue-resolution techniques.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and email.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Ability to apply reasoning to a variety of situations.
- May have periods of prolonged sitting, standing, and/or mobility.
- Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, lift, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects and/or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
