JOB TITLE: Special Events and Promotions Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for assisting Special Events and Promotions Management with all aspects of Casino Marketing, VIP Events and Casino wide Promotions.
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Plans and executes all events and promotions under the direction of Casino Marketing Management
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Assists in the creation and brainstorming of new events and promotions and producing fact sheets, formats, and rules for each event
- Handles all event registration needs, organizes guest packets, program needs, and maintains all promotion collateral, including score sheets, signed winner’s logs and auditing documents
- Works with internal departments as well as outside vendors for any event requests, such as décor, gift giveaways, audio/visual, food and beverage, entertainment, etc.
- Requests all event and promotion signage and collateral through creative design team
- Assists in building and maintaining the programming for the casino floor kiosk promotions and offers
- Verifies player identification and distributes proper prizes to appropriate person after obtaining signatures
- Ensures all guest questions and concerns are addressed immediately, either personally, or by contacting the appropriate management member to resolve
- Completes and files all event and promotion paperwork and follows auditing procedures
- Announces drawings and other information over the PA system on the Casino Floor
- All other duties as assigned by management
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two (1-2) years’ experience working in a Special Events/Catering capacity for a luxury Casino/Hotel is required
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms
- A professional demeanor and attire are to be maintained at all times
- Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Must be able to perform in a team environment
- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
- Must be comfortable using a microphone to make announcements on the Casino Floor
- Must have exceptional time management skills
- Must be proficient in the use of computer systems, or possess the ability to learn new systems quickly, such as Microsoft Office, Trilogy, Stratton Warren, and other as deemed necessary by the position
- Proven ability to resolve guest conflicts with ease or determine if management is needed in certain guest situations
- A valid Nevada Gaming license & Alcohol Awareness Card are required and must be obtained before entering this position
