Brewery Hospitality Steward

Have a passion for being a brew champion? From assisting in the creation of our unique beers, to educating your peers on various details that go into each of our brews, to seeing and serving our guests the final product. Located at Big Lug Canteen Nora, this position will allow you to be a part of the full life cycle of creating and selling our beer. Hours worked in this role will make $17/hr.

As a Brewery Hospitality Steward you will have the opportunity to:

• Walk alongside our brewers and assist them in organizing and cleaning the brewery equipment.
• Help track inventory
• Train the front of house team on new beers being launched so they can adequately convey the details to our guests.
  
  

Responsibilities

In addition to your time spent in the brewery, you will also have the opportunity to work shifts as a server or bartender. Interacting directly with our guests. Base pay on these roles range from $2.13/hr to $4/hr plus tips and responsibilities include:

• Preparing both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests that are seated around the bar as well as making drinks to be distributed amongst guests seated at tables in the dining areas.
• Provide great customer service by interacting with guests and providing drink options.
• Taking accurate orders.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bar area by making sure floors, coolers, and shelves all stay clean and organized.
• Ensure every customer is at least 21 years of age.
• Replenish the bar inventory.
• Ring in all beverages using a POS system.
• Efficiently process guest payments.
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to stand at least 4 hours per shift and lift 50lbs.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Has obtained an Indiana Liquor License.
• Previous server experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of math.
