Job Summary
SAHR Sports is seeking enthusiastic and passionate Youth Sports Instructors to lead our soccer and basketball programs. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with youth, have a strong understanding of the game, and are committed to creating fun and engaging learning environments. As a Youth Sports Instructor, you will serve as a coach and mentor, ensuring participants develop skills, build confidence, and foster a love for the game while leading weekly workshops.
Candidates must be adaptable and ready to take on various responsibilities to ensure the success of our programs. Flexible scheduling options are available, with opportunities to work in multiple sports or specialize in either soccer or basketball.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly workshop sessions focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game fundamentals.
- Provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for participants of all experience levels.
- Communicate with parents and program coordinators about participant progress and program updates.
- Proactively address and escalate any issues to program coordinators or managers.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to maintain a high-quality program experience.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of soccer and/or basketball; prior coaching or playing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with youth and fostering their personal growth through sports.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats during sessions and events.
- Availability for after-school and weekend programs (schedules vary by location).
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
