What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sample Technician position at SAI Gulf?
1. Rotation based on shift work to include weekends and holidays.
2. Occasional exposure to inclement weather and high/low ambient temperatures.
3. Periods of walking, standing, climbing of ladders and/or stairs, inclined walkways and uneven/unstable surfaces.
4. Housekeeping of walkways, preparation equipment, work area including the uses of compressed air/ and or water.
5. Use of cleaning tools to clean preparation equipment.
6. Perform maintenance on prep area equipment.
7. Completion of documentation as required or operational activity.
8. Lifting, carry bagged/boxed/containerized samples weighing up to to 30 pounds maximum.
9. Manually collect samples with shovels from stockpiles, moving conveyors, or inside open hopper barges.
10. Barge drafting and inspecting open hopper river barges.
11. Perform sample prep.
12.Perform field assignments according to customers requirements.
13. Ensuring that field samples are accurately and completely marked.
14. Maintain company vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
