Custodial Worker
Location: Knoxville, TN (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Custodial Worker to join our team in Knoxville, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial services, including cleaning, sanitization, and light maintenance. This position may include lead custodian responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Minimum one (1) year of custodial work experience
Valid Driver’s License (required)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as a lead custodian and complete leadership tasks as assigned
Operate and utilize custodial tools and equipment (floor washers, buffers, vacuums, etc.)
Perform general cleaning tasks, including:
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and mirrors
- Cleaning offices, classrooms, and other facilities (dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, washing walls/windows, and emptying trash)
Maintain grounds by removing trash and reporting maintenance issues
Keep simple records and reports regarding facility conditions and materials needed
Perform light maintenance on cleaning equipment
Train new custodial workers as needed
Additional Information:
This position is onsite and requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
