Position Summary
Facilitates and manages trainings for dockworkers, drivers, and supervisors. Manages training, recruiting, and onboarding activities within a terminal.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Manages company-mandated trainings for dockworkers and drivers.
Ensures trainings are facilitated in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
Leads management training for leadership and communication skills.
Ensures all Department of Transportation terminal requirements are current.
Manages recruiting and new hire onboarding processes, including hiring, interviewing, introductions, setting expectations, and processing paperwork.
Provides additional training, communication, feedback, and counseling as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Class A commercial driver’s license.
Safe motor vehicle report and hazmat endorsement.
5 years of transportation experience.
Communication, training, and coaching skills.
Flexibility to train on night shifts and weekends as needed.
