Description
SAIC is looking for an Agile Project Manager to join our team supporting an important US government agency in the National Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of software architects and developers to build digital tools which drive federal government efficiency and effectiveness.
This role requires on-site work in Washington, D.C. 3 days per week.
The customer receives a large volume of application development requests from departments across the agency. We use software development tools such as ServiceNow, Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, and Power Platform to rapidly build application solutions to meet these business requirements.
Project managers provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams comprised of application developers, solution architects, federal product owners and other stakeholders. Project managers are responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements from end-users and process owners, turning these into agile user stories, and conducting the five Agile ceremonies to deliver a constant stream of application solutions. Additionally, project managers are key sources for identifying and implementing process improvements, as we continuously improve service delivery.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ of project management experience in a technical environment with a variety of IT systems. At least eight of those years of experience must be leading the execution of IT projects in a project or task manager role.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
PMP Certification required.
Agile methodology, Scrum framework knowledge and experience. The successful candidate must also have broad knowledge of current information technology systems, infrastructures, and technologies.
Candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a large community of stakeholders.
Candidates must possess leadership skills to successfully manage diverse teams.
All candidates for consideration must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS :
Target salary range : $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
