About the Role
The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2) goals include achieving alignment with the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision of improved information sharing, layered security, common data and architecture standards, system resiliency, faster implementation, and more effective cross-domain capabilities, including the ability for any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains. This next-generation system shall employ the latest advancements across the technology spectrum to include AI/ML and distributed architectures.
Main Responsibilities
• Performs high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations, and servers.
• Coordinates, directs, and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
• Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
• Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
• Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
• Plans and implements the modernization of servers.
• Develops, implements, and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
• Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• Develops and implements new standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 9 years of experience; Master's degree and 7 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
• Desired qualifications include experience using ServiceNow, Remedy, or a similar ticketing system, and experience managing standing up and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments.
