Description
SAIC is seeking a (4) Database Engineers to support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that support our applications and services.

Job Duties
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases to meet the evolving needs of our applications and systems.
- Provide support to development teams in database-related matters such as creating complex procedures or tables to view or manipulate the data within the database and return it for development use.
- Perform database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with team to gather requirements and translate them into database solutions.
- Create/update database documentation and support security measures needed within the database.
Required Education
- JUNIOR LEVEL - BS degree and two (2) years of experience.
- MID LEVEL - BS degree and five (5) years of experience.
- Experience in SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL programming and scripting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention issues.
- Full understanding of the flow down of Interface Design Documents to Database Data Definitions.
- Self-reliant to learn and understand new technologies and new features of existing technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- This position may require on-call availability.
- Participation in disaster recovery drills and activities.
- Some travel may be required for the purpose of on-site system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Salary : $80,001 - $120,000
