SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician IV to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
Job Description
The Electronics Technician IV performs assignments that are not completely standardized, selects standard procedures, tools or equipment, receives initial instructions from the Team Lead as needed, and performs recurring work independently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITLIES
- Assist Customer In Testing and Evaluation of a variety of missile system batteries
- Perform Initial Inspection of assets received for Service life Extension or Lot Acceptance
- Build test systems according to Verification and Validation documentation, as well as, Test Plans and procedures for Testing
- Perform Test Readiness Reviews before testing
- Deliver Assets for Radiographic Inspection
- Perform Post Operational Testing of Expended Battery Assets according to Test Plans and Procedures
- Review and Revise Test Plans and Procedures
- Other Duties as Assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE
- HS/GED and four (4) years related experience in electronics maintenance, repair, troubleshooting
- Experience required in Microsoft Excel and Word, and any experience with batteries is a plus
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Must take pride in workmanship and quality of work
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be a US citizen
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Full DoD Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor qualified candidates
- Must be able to obtain an Explosives Safety Certification, including the physical (iaw DOT non-CDL), within 6 months of starting (sponsored by SAIC)
- BA, BS degree in electronics
- Practical experience in a power source laboratory
- Certifications J-STD 001 or IPC-610
