Description
SAIC is seeking experienced certified group exercise instructors to lead group fitness classes. Instructors will inspire physical fitness for Intelligence Community Professionals at a customer site in Chantilly, VA. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance. The preferred candidates will be teaching a group exercise cycling class, Monday mornings, 6AM - 7AM.
License/Certification (required):
- CPR Certification
- Nationally accredited certification required in personal training and/or group fitness. Acceptable certification include: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM),
- National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.
- Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class.
- Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.
- Ensure the safety and enjoyment for all in fitness classes.
- Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
- Cleans and organizes studio space before/after each Group Fitness class, record class metrics, and time worked.
Qualifications
Certificates or training in teaching group exercise classes or personal fitness
