SAIC is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the role of Exercise Support Subject Matter Expert to Headquarters Air Force A3. In this roll candidates will assist in developing and implementing AF Exercise Oversight Policy and Guidance.
Technical Requirements : Per AFI 10-204, AF / A3 will provide oversight for AF exercises and SecAF forces in Joint Service and CCDR exercises. On behalf of AF / A3, candidates will :
Develop and publish CSAF Exercise Policy Letter annually (or as required) to direct AF exercise enterprise planning and execution.
This guidance may include themes such as specific CCMD area of responsibility (AOR) of interest, priority of Chairman’s Exercise Program, Joint Exercise Program, National Exercise Program and SecAF exercises, multi-domain Command and Control (C2) initiatives, or other AF readiness goals and objectives.
Manage AF exercises and SecAF forces in AF, CCDR, CJCS and Joint Service exercises, by coordinating with appropriate MAJCOMs / Agencies.
Oversee and accomplish the following :
Develop and maintain AFI 10-204, Air Force service exercise program and support to joint and national exercise program.
Provide guidance to MAJCOMs on exercise and OTTI related matters and monitor the planning and execution of AF exercises.
Coordinate with the Exercise Coordination Working Group (ECWG) the production, update, and maintenance of the MEC.
Interface with appropriate agencies for overall exercise planning and coordination, and to identify mission area exercise shortfalls ensuring exercises meet guidelines set forth in the CSAF Exercise Policy Letter.
Coordinate with SAF / IA on requests for foreign country participation in SecAF exercises and vice versa.
Monitor Air Force participation in CEP / JEP / NEP exercises.
Coordinate the planning, execution, and evaluation of SecAF forces participation in AF Service, joint Service, CJCS, and CCDR exercises that involve HAF support and participation.
Provide oversight to the ECWG to ensure the AF Service Exercise program has a positive impact on readiness by assisting in the identification, prioritization, and focus of SecAF Exercises.
Utilize TMT to respond to RFIs from internal and external agencies.
Qualifications
Required Experience / Qualifications :
Experience with AF operations in either air, space, or cyber domain. Experience in AF, Joint and Coalition exercise planning, execution, and assessment.
Experience with multi-domain and multi-functional interoperability and training requirements /
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with disparate organizations and develop strategies to accomplish AF-wide initiatives.
Experience with HAF-level and MAJCOM coordination processes, policy development, and strategic communications at a senior leader level.
Must be a US Citizen, currently possesses a Secret Clearance and have ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree and Fourteen (14) years of experience, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
Target salary range : $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
