Description
SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems in Dahlgren, VA . The engineer will need to have a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with engineering drawings and quality assurance techniques, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is for new work that has yet to be funded.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Assist in the assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems, machinery, and prototypes.
- Interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers to modify designs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results, repairs, and engineering processes.
