Description

SAIC is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to serve on the THADD ICOFT Team located in Huntsville, AL on Redstone Arsenal. Expected in office work environment with flexible remote work possibilities.

Program Info: ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will serve on a high-performing, cross-functional team of software and hardware quality engineers responsible for ensuring industry best practices are followed. This includes participating in formal peer reviews for documentation, drawings, and code, as well as reviewing and performing verification for system-level requirements.
• In addition, the candidate will verify the execution of system integration testing and final acceptance testing, identifying any noncompliance issues, and, if such issues exist, monitoring the corrective action plan to completion.
• The candidate will provide status updates on quality activities, coordinate and conduct scheduled and unscheduled audits/appraisals, perform trend analysis of noncompliance issues, and confirm that all quality reviews are conducted before the release of deliverables.
• The candidate will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing quality metrics for the project and making recommendations to Quality Leadership on process improvements.
• Additional duties include preparing quality reports, reviewing technical data packages for adherence to the project scope, standards, methodologies, and program requirements.
• The candidate will recommend process improvements related to quality process standards throughout the software life cycle.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; Master's and three (3) years related experience; additional four (4) years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Required Clearance: Must have an active Secret Security Clearance. ship is required.
• Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, methodologies and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI ML3).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and JIRA .
  • Exposure to agile software development, CI/CD, and/or DevSecOps.
  • Ability to read and interpret hardware drawings.
  • Experience with Product Data Management or Version Control.
• Desired Skills:
  • Experience in systems analysis, design, implementation, and support tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3 practices.
  • Experience with integration and testing with hardware in the loop.
  • Familiarity with requirement management software such as IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, Helix ALM, or Polarion Requirements.
  • Familiarity with version control software such as Azure DevOps, BitKeeper, Dimensions, or Helix Core.
  • Familiarity with the Rational Unified Process (RUP), Unified Process Model, or S3I EPIC Process is desirable but not required.
